Job Description
1st Edge is seeking an advanced software engineer / analyst to plan and execute Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of tactical software for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) System.
The software engineer / analyst will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team that supports the THAAD Program Office with executing the software IV&V, firmware IV&V, and software assurance program. The place of performance is in Huntsville, AL.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of software IV&V static and dynamic testing approaches and will have the ability to communicate effectively within our team.
IV&V approaches include: decomposing existing source code using requirements, design and test documents; writing test and data capture frameworks to fully exercise the code under test; evaluating software using static analysis tools and eyes on code inspection; analyzing results from static analysis tools; recommending fixes and improvements to code; providing management with software health metrics; establishing/documenting robust IV&V processes; writing scripts to automate and streamline IV&V processes; collecting and analyzing test coverage data; and tracing system requirements from specifications, to design, to code and unit test. Leadership opportunities are available at the intermediate and advanced levels.
Requires US citizenship and must currently possess an active SECRET level security clearance.
