1st Edge is searching for a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role in designing, architecting, and implementing a robust service-oriented system to support our critical business functions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building scalable and efficient systems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:
- Agile software development in small, fast-paced groups.
- Development duties include full software life-cycle tasks: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and integration
- Conduct requirements analysis to inform architecture and design decisions
- Some travel required
Essential job skills include:
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or C# programming language.
- Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture principles
- Experience working with containerization technologies (Docker preferred).
- Experience with API design and development.
- Experience developing and maintaining APIs for seamless communication between services.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired skills:
- Experience interacting with and integrating with existing AI solutions
- Experience with gRPC
- Experience with PostGIS
General Requirements:
- 0-10 years of related experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
